Tribal Resources
Alaska Tribes and tribal organizations carry out the management and administration of federal Indian programs. Collectively, the Tribes and tribal organizations form an integrated statewide network providing services to over 150,000 Alaska Native people on behalf 229 Alaska tribes. The tribes and tribal organizations carrying out these services make up the membership of Alaska Native Health Board.
The partnership with Alaska Tribes and tribal organizations is key and a foundation of the Alaska Native Health Board. With the guidance from tribal health leadership, the Alaska Native Health Board has played a central role in advocating for the improvement of health care among American Indian and Alaska Native people.
